After the 2020 season was delayed and then pushed to an abbreviated spring of 2021 season, the Eastern Washington University football team will open a traditional Fall Camp for the first time in nearly two years this week.
 
The team will begin practices this week on the EWU Sports and Recreation practice fields in Cheney, Wash. Eastern's rookies report on Aug. 3 and have two days of orientation capped by a newcomer-only practice on Aug. 5. The next day (Aug. 6), the newcomers will practice at 10 a.m. followed by the first media availability of the season prior to the veteran's first practice at 2:30 p.m. On Saturday, Aug. 7, the Eagles will have their first full-team practice.
 
The Eagles have nearly a full month of practice before opening the season at UNLV on Sept. 2 in Las Vegas, Nev., at Allegiant Stadium. Eastern will utilize the practice fields until moving over to Roos Field on Aug. 23.
 
Eastern will scrimmage twice before the team's season opener. The first scrimmage of preseason camp takes place on Wednesday, Aug. 18 at approximately 2:30 p.m. on the practice fields. The second and final scrimmage will be held on Roos Field on Wednesday, Aug. 25, also at approximately 2:30 p.m.
 
Times and locations of all practices and scrimmages are below, and are tentative and subject to change.

Days available for media availability with assistance from EWU Sports Information staff are marked below with ***. Be sure to always confirm practice times and locations prior to departure for campus. Pre-practice interviews will take place in the Academic Center. No interviews after Wednesday before games, with Tuesday afternoon before practice the typical pre-game interview day (with the exception of the first game week, media availability will be Monday, Aug. 30). Preseason practices are scheduled to take place at the EWU Sports and Recreation Center practice fields from Aug. 5-22 (with a few exceptions) and then at Roos Field beginning on Aug. 23 for the duration of the season.
