Eastern Washington women's golf will play its last competition in 2022 next week and conclude its fall schedule. Eastern travels to Tacoma, Wash. for the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, hosted by Seattle University.
The tournament will run from Monday, Oct. 3 to Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Tacoma Country and Golf Club. On Monday, the Eagles will play 36 holes and then 18 on Tuesday.
The Eagles hosted the Eagle Invitational this past week for its first home competition since 2009. At Indian Canyon Golf Course, Eastern finished fifth with a 908 total score.
Freshman
Brooke Mahler continued to play well, finishing in 16
th place with a 226 total score. The Buckley, Wash. native shot a 73 on the final day to move into the top-20 on the leaderboard.
Kami Twining put together a solid tournament, with a 227 score and was tied for 17
th. The sophomore shot 75 in the final two rounds to earn her second top-20 finish of her young career.
Jaelin Ishikawa earned a tie for 21
st place with a 228 score at the Invite. The senior recorded a 72 in the second round at Indian Canyon.
After completing its fall schedule, Eastern will be away from competition until Feb. 27, when they travel to Phoenix, Ariz. for the Grand Canyon Invitational and begin its 2023 spring schedule.
