Riding the excitement of a buzzer-beater win, Eastern Washington women's basketball will be on the road to try and improve its record to 4-0 on the season. Eastern will take the court in Corvallis, Ore. to play Oregon State on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. Pacific Time. The Eagles will then return home on Sunday, Nov. 20 to play Evergreen State at 2 p.m. at Reese Court.
With the win, the Eagles will have the second-best start in program history. The 1984-85 Eastern team started the season 5-0.

Last Time Out
Eastern Washington won its third straight game in a 62-60 win over Southern Utah on Monday (Nov. 14). The game had eight lead changes and six ties before coming down to the final possession in the fourth quarter.
Jamie Loera dribbled past a Thunderbird defender and laid the ball up off the glass to score as time expired.
Loera finished with 10 points, seven assists, six rebounds and five steals.
Jaydia Martin scored 16 points, with
Jacinta Buckley adding 13 and
Milly Knowles had 10. Eastern shot 43.9 percent on field goals and was 35.3 percent on three-point shots.
A Look at the Eagles
After starting the season strong,
Jaydia Martin earned Big Sky Co-Player of the Week Honors. Martin averaged 16.7 points to help lead Eastern to its first 3-0 start since the 2006-07 season. The sophomore had a 47.1 field goal percentage overall on the floor and a blistering 57.1(5-of-11) percent from three-point range. In total, Martin scored 50 points, adding nine rebounds, seven assists and eight steals. Martin committed only three turnovers in the three games as well.
The Eagles are second in the Big Sky in scoring offense, averaging 77.0 points per game. Through three games, the average margin of victory is 25 points for Eastern. From the floor, the Eagles are third with a 45.1 shooting percentage and second with a 42.4 percent mark from three.
A major contributing factor to Eastern's early success is the team's ability to create turnovers and limit their own mistakes. The Eagles have a plus-11.33 turnover margin that ranks second in the conference. The team leads the conference with a 1.57 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Martin is fifth in the Big Sky with a 16.7-points per game average. Martin adds 2.7 steals per game to tie for seventh in the Big Sky.
Aaliyah Alexander is tied for 16
th with 12 points per game.
Jamie Loera is an all-around contributor for Eastern, leading the team and ranking 15
th with 5.7 rebounds per game. Loera is sixth in the conference with 4.3 assists per set. She is also third in the conference with 3.3 steals per game and averages 10.7 points per game.
Jacinta Buckley gives Eastern four players averaging double digit points with 10.7 per game as well.
Off the bench,
Andie Zylak has a 10.0 assist-to-turnover ratio to lead the conference.
Scouting the Beavers
Oregon State has also started the season well, with a 2-0 record, both wins coming at home. The Beavers won a close, 61-60, game to begin the season against Hawaii. They followed up with a commanding, 89-53 win over Seattle.
Early in the season, Oregon St. has four players averaging in double figures, led by AJ Marotte and Talia von Oelhoffen who each hold a 17.0 points per game average. Marotte is second on the team with 8.0 rebounds per game, while Jelena Mitrovic leads the team with 9.0 rebounds per game. Mitrovic averages 10.0 points per game as well.
Series History
Eastern Washington trails, 1-6 in the series history against Oregon State, dropping the last six games. The teams last played in Maui, Hawai'i in December of 2018, as the Beavers won 93-45.
Scouting the Ducks
Evergreen State started the 2022-23 season with a 75-62 win over Lewis and Clark College on their home court. The Ducks had a pair of 23-point scorers in Sydney Vanness and Sha'nece Garrett. Jalyn Sackrider and Monique Bungay each scored 10 points for Evergreen and the team had a 45.3 percent shooting performance in the game.
Series History
The teams had their first ever meeting last in November of 2021 at Reese Court. Eastern put on an offensive show in a 101-38 victory. The point total is tied for the fourth-most in program history in a single game and the Eagles tied the program record, at the time, with 17 made three-pointers.
