The Eastern Washington Eagles remained in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 rankings this week after last Saturday's narrow 44-36 loss to then-No. 4 Idaho. The Eagles dropped into the "Receiving Votes" category in the Coaches Poll after debuting at No. 25 a week ago.

The Eagles have now been ranked in 138 of the last 159 weeks, highlighted by a 57-week streak that ended late in 2015 and a 46-week streak that ended in 2019. They have finished the season ranked 17 times since 1985.

The Big Sky continues to lead all conferences with seven programs in the Stats Top 25, including No. 3 Idaho, who the Eagles took to the edge on Saturday, and No. 2 Montana State, who EWU faces on the road on Nov. 11. Also ranked this week are 2023 EWU opponents North Dakota State (No. 7; Eagles lost 35-10 on Sept. 2), UC Davis (No. 20; Eagles won 27-24 on Sept. 23), Weber State (No. 13; at EWU on Oct. 21).

Eastern received 27 votes in the Coaches Poll, which puts them at 32nd.

A national media panel selects the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll. A first-place vote is worth 25 points, a second-place vote 24 points, all the way down to one point for a 25th-place vote.
