Eagles cruise past Bengals for first Big Sky win

Eastern improved as the game went on to earn the road win

POCATELLO, Idaho — The road trip is off to a good start for Eastern Washington volleyball as the team defeated Idaho State, 3-1, on Thursday night. Eastern used aggressive serving and strong blocking to earn the four-set win. The Eagles improve to 1-2 in conference and 7-8 overall this season.

Sage Brustad tallied a game-high 16 kills, with Kalista Lukovich adding 10. The team recorded 10.0 blocks against the Bengals.

"I'm so very happy with tonight's win. I felt Taylor Muff prepared a great scout and we were able to execute it very well," head coach Jon Haruguchi said. "We keep preaching to the team about working to get one-percent better with each opportunity and our block really stepped up tonight."
