CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington University officially announced its 2024 football schedule on Monday, including six home games on the red turf at Roos Field in Cheney.

The Eagles get started at home early next year, hosting the Monmouth Hawks on Thursday, August 29. EWU last played a game in August in 2019 at Washington, and last hosted an August game in Cheney back in 2015 when they beat Sam Houston State, 56-35.

Eastern also hosts Drake (Sept. 7) before traveling to Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 14) and Nevada (Sept. 21) to round out their non-conference schedule.

Big Sky play starts on Sept. 28 at home against the Montana Grizzlies, who finished as runner-up in the 2023 NCAA FCS National Championship Game on Sunday.

Eastern is also set to host Big Sky foes UC Davis (Oct. 19), Montana State (Nov. 2) and Idaho State (Nov. 16). They'll travel to play Sacramento State (Oct. 12), Idaho (Oct. 26), Northern Colorado (Nov. 9) and Northern Arizona (Nov. 23).
