Eagles close fall schedule with top-5 performance

Eastern played well throughout its final competition of 2024

PORTLAND, Ore. — The fall slate has come to a close for Eastern Washington women's golf as the team played its final 18 holes of 2024 today. Eastern placed fourth at the PSU Invitational Fall Invite, with a score of 902 (+38). The team played three rounds, with two yesterday (Oct. 14) and the final round today. 

EWU finished ahead of Big Sky foes Idaho (913), Montana (919), Portland State (928) and Idaho State (959).

Gabriella Ilardi posted a top-5 performance, earning third on the individual leaderboard after shooting 215 (-1). The sophomore opened with a 71 in round one and shot even better with a 70 in round two.

Closing out her first fall as an Eagle, Berkley Ledesma tied for 18th, with a score of 228 (+12). She shot 74 and 75 in round one and two respectively.

Kami Twining tied for 27th, shooting 231 (+15) for the tournament. 

True freshman Esha Reddy closed the Fall Invite strong, shooting 73 in round three. She tied for 32nd on the leaderboard with a score of 232 (+16).

Seattle U won the two-day tournament after turning in a 890 (+26) total score. The Redhawks' Rivekka Jumagulova topped the individual leaderboard after putting up a 212 (-4) in Portland.

EWU is off for the rest of 2024 and resumes its regular season in February of 2025. The Eagles travel to San Jacinto, Calif. For the Soboba Spring Classic, hosted by UC Riverside from Feb. 7 to Feb. 9.
