EWU Football announces 2024 spring schedule

Eagles open spring training camp on March 18, resume in full on April 2

2/22/2024 10:32:00 AM

CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington University Football will hit Roos Field in Cheney for spring practices starting early this year, with the first two sessions starting in mid-March before resuming the full slate in April.

The Eagles are expected to return as many as 15 starters from the 2023 squad, including eight on offense. Returning starting quarterback Kekoa Visperas will be surrounded by many familiar faces, including four of five returners on the offensive line, starting running back Tuna Altahir and returning wideouts Nolan Ulm and All-American Efton Chism III.

Spring football gets underway a bit earlier than normal this season — mirroring this year's early Aug. 29 regular season opener — with two quick sessions on March 18 and 20 before EWU's Spring Break on March 25-29. The team will come back together on April 2 to resume the spring schedule.

The annual intrasquad Red-White Game will be on Friday, April 26 at 6 p.m. at Roos Field, and will be free and open to the public to attend. All practices will begin at 3 p.m. unless noted otherwise.
