MOBILE, Ala. — The path to the 2025 NFL applies to Eastern Washington as wide receiver
Efton Chism III has been named to the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl Watchlist. The game will be held on Saturday February 1, 2025 at Hancock Whitney Stadium, home to the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Ala.
This will be the second pre-draft recognition for Chism after being included in the East-West Shrine Bowl's top 1000 prospects list earlier this summer.
Chism is preparing for his final season at Eastern and has already garnered numerous preseason recognitions. The Monroe, Wash. native was named to the preseason FCS Stats Perform and Phil Steele's All-American first team. Chism also earned first team
All-Big Sky honors, receiving the most votes of any wide receiver in the conference. He also appeared on the 2024 Walter Payton Award watch list.
In the 2023 season, Chism recorded 932 receiving yards that ranked third in the conference and 14th in the FCS. He had 84 total catches and scored eight touchdowns. The nationally-ranked season led Chism to earning AP All-American third team and first team Big Sky All-Conference honors. Chism added third team selections from Stats Perform and FCS Football Central, along with fourth team on Phil Steele's All-Big Sky.
For his last season in Cheney, Chism ranks second all-time in EWU history with 5.5 receptions per game, totaling 226 that ranks third. With 2,541 career receiving yards, Chism sits at 12th in program history. His 24 career touchdowns places him ninth all-time.
The Eagles will be at home for the first two games of the 2024 season, starting with Monmouth on Aug. 29 at 6 p.m. Eastern then hosts Drake on Sept. 7 at 4 p.m.
