Women's Soccer – at Idaho (Sunday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m.)
Eastern Washington looks to regroup after a challenging weekend that saw a 1–1 draw with Montana and a 5–0 road loss to Sacramento State. The Eagles will have just one match this week, traveling to Moscow, Idaho, to face rival Idaho on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 1 p.m.
Last season, EWU battled the Vandals to a 2–2 draw at home, but Idaho had won the three previous meetings between the two programs.
On Thursday in Cheney, the Eagles showed grit in a physical matchup with Montana that featured 29 fouls and four yellow cards. Dakota Harris put EWU on the board early with a header in the seventh minute, but the Grizzlies equalized before halftime. Eastern finished the contest with 10 players after a red card but held firm defensively to secure the result.
Sunday's match in Sacramento proved more difficult, as the Hornets scored five second-half goals to pull away. The Eagles generated 11 shots, including three on target, but were unable to find the back of the net. Goalkeeper Kamryn Willoughby recorded six saves while facing constant pressure.
With the draw and loss, Eastern sits at 5-5-4 overall and 1-2-1 in Big Sky play as they turn their attention to Sunday's rivalry showdown.
Women's Golf - vs. Sun Mountain Intercollegiate (Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 6-7, All Day)
Eastern plays its final tournament of the fall this week as they travel to Missoula, Mont. for the Sun Mountain Intercollegiate, taking place today and tomorrow at The Ranch Club golf course. The Eagles send six to Missoula, with Brooke Mahler, Lexie Mahler, Berkley Ledesma, Esha Reddy and Mia Cho competing, while Natalie Kent will play as an individual.
EWU played at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational last week in Tacoma, Wash. The team shot 924 in the tournament and tied for 13th on the team leaderboard. Brooke led the team after shooting 227 and tying for 44th on the individual leaderboard. Lexie followed her sister to tie for 46th with a 228 score.
The team takes a break until February of 2026 when they resume competition at the Soboba Spring Classic in San Jacinto, Calif.
Women's Volleyball – at Weber State (Thursday, Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. PST), at Idaho State (Saturday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. PST)
The Eagles stumbled this past week, falling in straight sets to Idaho, but will look to bounce back as they hit the road for a pair of Big Sky matchups. Eastern faces Weber State on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 5 p.m. PST, before heading to Idaho State on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. PST.
This past week, the Eagles battled hard in a rivalry showdown on Wednesday night but came up short in a 3–0 loss to Idaho (20-25, 21-25, 25-27). The Eagles kept each set close, highlighted by long rallies and a push to extend the third frame, but the Vandals held on for the sweep.
EWU tallied 31 kills, 9 aces, and outblocked Idaho 11–8, showing strength at the net and from the service line. Kalista Lukovich led the offense with 13 kills and 3 aces, while Elle Bruegman paced the defense with 20 digs. Despite the setback, Eastern's energy and resilience stood out, providing a foundation to build on as Big Sky play continues.
Women's Tennis - vs. ITA Northwest Regional (Friday-Tuesday, Oct. 10-Oct. 14)
EWU travels to Berkeley, Calif. For the ITA Northwest Regionals, starting on Friday and concluding on Tuesday. The Eagles compete in the regional tournament to continue prepare for the regular season beginning in Spring of 2026.
