ST. GEORGE, Utah — Eastern Washington women's golf resumed competition this past weekend at the Pizza Hut Invitational, hosted by Southern Utah. At the Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah, Eastern placed 11th as a team, holding a score of 938. EWU finished in front of Big Sky foe Idaho State (959).
Gabriella Ilardi was the Eagles top performer, tying for 32nd on the individual leaderboard after she shot 226 (+10) for the Invite. The sophomore improved each round during the tournament, shooting a 74 in round two, then improving to a 72 in the final round. Ilardi tied for 10th among individuals with nine birdies in the three rounds.
Kami Twining finished the weekend with a 235 (+19) score to place 52nd, while Berkley Ledesma shot 236 to tie for 55th.
Another Big Sky program, Northern Arizona, won the tournament, shooting 871, with the Lumberjacks' Lizzie Neale winning the individual title.

Eastern Washington has a week off before its next competition, traveling to Nashville, Tenn. for the Nashville Invitational, hosted by Lipscomb University. The Invite begins on March 24 and continues through March 25 at the President's Reserve of Hermitage Golf Course.
