4/22/2025 12:50:00 PM

CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington women's basketball continues to build its roster for 2025-26 as it signed three more players for the upcoming season. Head coach Joddie Gleason announced the signing of Caitie Gingras, Emma Myers and Brielle Magnuson.

With the three new signees, Gleason now has six new Eagles for the fall, joining Elyn Bowers, Dylyn Dress and Madeline Gibbs who signed with Eastern in December

Caitie Gingras | Guard | 5-9 | CSU Bakersfield | Vernon, Canada

Caitie joins the Eagles after spending the past two seasons at CSU Bakersfield. Last season, Caitie averaged 26.0 minutes per game, scoring 6.6 points and adding 2.2 rebounds, while shooting 81.8 percent from the free throw line and 37.9 percent from three-point range. She added 16 steals and seven assists as well. Caitie redshirted her first season with the Roadrunners (2023-24) after joining the team mid-season.

Before beginning her career at Bakersfield, Caitie graduated from Edge Prep School in Calgary, Alberta. Caitie was named league All-Star and Edge MVP for the 2023 season. She was named a second team All-Star her sophomore year. While at Edge Prep, Caitie scored a career-high 53 points.

At Eastern, Caitie plans on studying Exercise Science and wants to pursue a career in Pediatric Occupational Therapy.

Gleason on Gingras
"We are excited to bring Caitie to EWU!  She can absolutely fill it up from behind the three point line. She has a high basketball IQ and will fit in perfectly with our team and sophomore class. Caitie worked her way into the starting lineup at CSUB as a redshirt-freshman and gained valuable experience competing in the Big West last season. We are looking forward to her joining us this summer!"

Emma Myers | Guard | 5-11 | Ridgeline High School | Spokane Valley, Wash.

Emma does not have to travel far to begin her collegiate career after playing at Ridgeline High School in Spokane Valley. During her career as a guard in high school, Emma averaged 17.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game. She earned first team All-GSL (Greater Spokane League) honors. Emma helped lead Ridgeline to a 8-1 record in the GSL and 20-5 overall in her senior season. Along with Ridgeline, Emma played for the Spokane Legacy club team, winning the CSA summer tournament and placing fourth on the Puma Circuit.

Along with being a star on the court, Emma played four years of slow-pitch softball for Ridgeline.

Emma plans on pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Eastern.

Gleason on Myers
"Emma will be a great Eag. She is long, athletic, versatile, competitive and has the ability to score at all three levels, as well as set others up to score. Emma had a great senior year in the GSL this season, playing point guard for Ridgeline and leading them into the postseason. We are excited to keep local talent at home!"

Brielle Magnuson | Guard | 5-11 | Walla Walla JC | Meridian, Idaho

Brielle is no stranger to the collegiate game after playing at Walla Walla Junior College the past two seasons at guard. In the '25 season, Brielle was named the All-Region MVP and NWAC Tournament MVP. She earned NWAC Freshman of the Year honors, averaging 18.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Walla Walla won the NWAC Championship this past season with Brielle averaging 20.0 points and 8.0 rebounds. In two NWAC Tournament appearances, Brielle averaged 22.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. During the 2023-24 season, Brielle won the President's Cup.

Prior to Walla Walla, Brielle played for Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian, Idaho. She earned first team honors as a senior (2023) and second team as a junior (2022). Rocky Mountain qualified for the state tournament each season of Brielle's career, advancing to the state championship game her senior season.

While attending Eastern, Brielle plans on majoring in Business and wants to pursue a career as a Medical Device sales representative.

Gleason on Magnuson
"Bri brings a winning pedigree to us from Walla Walla JC and will provide scoring and rebounding at the wing/forward position. She has filled up the stat sheet in the NWAC the past two seasons and will make an immediate impact for us. Bri loves to compete and finds a way to do whatever is necessary to help her team win. That competitive fire is contagious and we are eager to have her on campus soon!"
