CHENEY, Wash. - Last week, BECU partnered with EWU student-athletes for an interactive financial education workshop on campus, centered around budgeting and money management.
At the heart of the event was a hands-on budgeting simulation that challenged student-athletes to navigate real-life financial scenarios—covering everything from rent and transportation to groceries, entertainment, and unexpected expenses. The exercise offered a practical look at everyday financial choices, helping participants build a stronger understanding of how to plan for both immediate needs and long-term financial goals.
This collaboration highlights the shared commitment between BECU and EWU Athletics to foster the holistic development of student-athletes. Through the Eagle Edge program, EWU provides athletes with essential tools and resources that go beyond the field—empowering them to thrive academically, professionally, and personally.
