With their sights set on the NCAA Championships, two Eagles must first punch their tickets through the NCAA West Regionals, taking place Wednesday, May 28 through Saturday, May 31 in College Station, Texas. Egypt
Caitlin Simmons and
Maddy Shekhawat have both qualified for their shot at advancing.
Simmons enters the meet as the top-ranked Eagle, sitting 17th in the triple jump and 23rd in the long jump. Shekhawat is ranked 40th in the 110m hurdles—making the cut in a field of 48.
At the recent Big Sky Championships, Simmons struck gold once again in the long jump but came up short in the triple jump with no mark recorded. Shekhawat claimed bronze in the 110m hurdles.
Now, all eyes are on College Station, where each athlete will battle for a coveted spot at Nationals.
