Ledesma finds Top-20 again, Eagles continue to post solid rounds

Eastern Washington completes its home competition in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. —  The Eagles stayed local and were at the Kalispel Golf and Country Club, for the Kalispel Invitational. EWU closed out the two-day tournament in 10th place with a 908 total score (+44), while finishing ahead of two Big Sky opponents, Portland State and Idaho State by six strokes. 

Sophomore Berkley Ledesma continued her strong start to the season this season, finishing inside the Top-20 again and pairing up three solid rounds. Ledesma shot her best round of the tournament, a 72 (E) in her second round. She closed out her week with a 73 (+1) to tie for 12th on the individual leaderboard. 

Freshman Lexie Mahler, continued to post solid scores this week. Mahler finished knotted up at 29th, and a best round of 73 (+1). 

Santa Clara claimed the team title shooting 868 (+4). Kelsey Kim led the scoring for Santa Clara, finishing 212 (-4). 

Up Next
Eastern looks to carry the momentum into its next tournament of the season, the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational in Tacoma, Wash., at Tacoma Golf and Country Club. The tournament takes place on Sep. 29 (Monday) and runs through the 30th (Tuesday).
