CHENEY, Wash. – Eastern Washington associate head coach Ryan Lundgren has been named to the Silver Waves Media 100 Most Impactful Mid-Major Assistants List for the second consecutive year, earning recognition on the eighth annual edition of one of college basketball's premier honors for assistant coaches.

The list recognizes assistant coaches who have made a significant impact on their programs and the college basketball landscape. The honor has also served as a strong indicator of future leadership in the sport, with numerous previous selections going on to become collegiate head coaches.

Now in his third season with the Eagles, Lundgren oversees Eastern's offense while directing the program's recruiting and NIL operations. His work on the recruiting trail has helped shape the Eagles' roster, including the addition of Andrew Cook, who produced a career year in 2024-25 and ranked among the Big Sky's top 10 in several statistical categories.

Lundgren was also instrumental in bringing Big West transfer Isaiah Moses to Cheney. Moses made an immediate impact for Eastern, earning Big Sky Player of the Week honors in November 2025 before going on to be named the conference's Newcomer of the Year and earning unanimous First Team All-Big Sky honors.

Cook returns to the Eagles for the 2026-27 season after being granted an additional year of eligibility, providing Eastern with another experienced piece as the program enters Lundgren's third season on staff.

Before arriving in Cheney, Lundgren served as the head coach at Carroll College during the 2023-24 season. He brought a proven background in leadership, recruiting, player development and program building to Eastern, qualities that have continued to make an impact during his time with the Eagles.
