FARMINGTON, Utah — Two tournaments for Eastern Washington men's golf, two Big Sky Golfers of the Week.
Carson Krauss earned his first career weekly award after shooting -5 (208) at the Oregon State Invitational.
In Corvallis, Krauss closed with a 67 in round three, recording seven birdies, with five on the back nine.
The Grant Pass, Ore. native started the Invitational with a 71 and improved to a 70 in the second round.
Krauss's effort helped EWU tie for third at the OSU Invitational, with a team score of -10 (842).
To start his collegiate career, Krauss shot a 221 at the CDA National Reserve. He tied for 12th on the individual leaderboard, shooting a -4 in round two.
EWU plays its third tournament of the fall next week at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational (Oct. 12-Oct. 14). The tournament is in Stockton, Calif. at the Reserve at Spanos Park.
