CHENEY, Wash. – Eastern Washington volleyball standout Kalista Lukovich has been named the Big Sky Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week following another dominant weekend for the Eagles.
Lukovich eclipsed 60 kills while adding 34 digs, six blocks and two service aces across three matches at the Gonzaga Invitational, helping Eastern post a 2-1 record on the weekend.
"Kalista continues to be a steady presence for us offensively, but what really stands out is everything else she brings to the court," said head coach Jon Haruguchi. "She competes hard, stays composed in big moments and finds different ways to help our team. Individual honors like this are also a reflection of the people around her. She doesn't have this kind of success without her teammates putting her in positions to succeed, and I think Kalista would be the first person to recognize that."
Lukovich opened the tournament with a strong all-around performance in Eastern's five-set victory over Oral Roberts, recording 19 kills and 12 digs for her second double-double of the season.
She continued to lead the Eastern attack throughout the weekend before closing the tournament with another standout performance against host Gonzaga. Lukovich finished with 19 kills and 13 digs, notching her third double-double of the season and helping the Eagles secure another five-set victory.
Lukovich has now recorded double-digit kills in each of Eastern's first six matches of the season and has been a key piece of the Eagles' strong start to the 2026 campaign.
The honor marks Lukovich's second consecutive Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week award after earning the recognition following the opening weekend of the season.
Eastern Washington returns to action at the Boise State Tournament, beginning Thursday, Sept. 10 against Saint Mary's. The Eagles will also face Sacramento State and host Boise State during the three-day tournament.
