2013: Listed as a reserve at cornerback on thepreseason depth chart.
2012: The only start of his season came againstCal Poly (11/3/12) when EWU’s starters and one othercornerback had to miss the first series against the Mustangs forbeing late for a weightlifting session earlier in the week. Hefinished with one tackle, with that coming versus Southern Utah(10/27/12).
Kentucky: Transferred from Kentucky andattended EWU for the first time in fall 2012. Redshirted in 2009,played in one game in 2010 and did not see any game action in 2011.He had one tackle in his lone game against Akron in his sophomoreseason, and earned defensive scout team player of the week honorsfor that game. He was also on “special forces” for theLouisville game. His community service endeavors at Kentuckyincluded his participation in the Fair TradeFestival.
HS: Graduated from Jesuit HS in Carmichael,Calif., in 2009. He was a two-year starter as a defensive back andwide receiver, but had to sit out his senior season following kneesurgery. He also played as a running back, kicker, punt returnerand kickoff returner. In one game, he had 180 all-purpose yards, arushing touchdown, an interception return for a TD and six tackles.Twice he was named his team’s defensive MVP and earned theCoaches Award as a freshman. He also earned two letters inbasketball and was his team’s defensive MVP. In track andfield, he competed in the 200 and 400 meters, as well as the 4x100and 4x400 relays. He was a member of the Christian LeadershipCouncil, Feed the Hungry, Chess Club and Black Student Union atJesuit.
Personal: Interdisciplinary studies major. Born6/13/91 in Sacramento, Calif. He’s an avid musician who canplay multiple instruments, and also enjoys learning languages. His father played football atOregon under Rich Brooks, and his mother was a professional skaterwho toured overseas in the production of “Holiday onIce.” Christian’s brother, Jason Auguste, playedfootball at Columbia University, and his sister, Melanie Auguste,played basketball at Colorado College.
