2012: Listed as a reserve at strong-side insidelinebacker on preseason depth chart.

2011: Named to the Big Sky ConferenceAll-Academic team for the third-straight season. He finished theseason with 15 tackles, including a season-high three on threeoccasions. He was the team’s special teams player of the weekfor his two-tackle performance against Sacramento State(10/22/11).

2010: Was named to the Big Sky ConferenceAll-Academic team. Saw action in 11 games as a special teams playerand backup linebacker.

2009: Named to the Big Sky ConferenceAll-Academic team. He played in all 12 games, and made his lonestart at linebacker in his collegiate debut against Western Oregon(9/5/09). He finished that game with a season-high four tacklesafter earning a starting spot when senior starter Makai Bordensuffered a hamstring injury early in preseason practices. He wasEWU’s special teams player of the week against Weber State(10/10/09).

2008: Redshirted. Was the team’s scoutteam defensive player of the week once.

HS: Graduated from Bellevue HS in 2008. Was asecond team All-KingCo 3A League selection as an outsidelinebacker. He led Bellevue to an 11-2 record before losing tounbeaten O’Dea 27-17 in the semifinals of the State 3APlayoffs.

Personal: Marketing major. Born 11/9/89 inBellevue, Wash. Will turn 23 one day before Eastern hosts UC Davison Senior Day. Last name is pronounced “hale.”
