2011: Larry was selected as the Big SkyConference co-Defensive Player of the Week for his performanceagainst Weber State (10/1/11), becoming the first Eagle to behonored by the league in 2011. He had the game-clinching fumblerecovery with 21 seconds left and finished the game with sixtackles – one for loss – a quarterback hurry and thefumble recovery. The Wildcats were at the Eastern Washington23-yard line and in position for a game-winning touchdown whenteammate Charles Moetului forced WSU quarterback Mike Hoke tofumble, and Larry quickly pounced on the ball. In EWU’s 48-27win over Northern Colorado on (10/15/11), Larry had a sack andforced fumble that led to an EWU touchdown and a 48-20 lead. Didnot participate in spring drills because of surgery following aknee injury that nagged him in the 2010season.
2010: Played in 12 games as a defensive end forthe Eagles, and had a sack in his Eagle debut versus Nevada(9/2/10). That helped him earn his first and only start of theseason against Central Washington (9/11/10). But he suffered adislocated patella early in that contest and missed three games. Hewas expected to play against Weber State (10/2/10), but his kneecontinued to build up fluid and needed to be drained. He returnedto play limited snaps against Northern Arizona (10/9/10) andgradually re-gained playing time. He also sat out against IdahoState (11/20/10) to rest the knee for the playoffs. He had aseason-high four tackles versus Sacramento State (10/23/10), a sackversus Southern Utah (11/13/10) and a half-sack against Villanova(12/17/10) in the semifinals of the FCS Playoffs. He helped theEagle defense rank first nationally in turnovers gained (47), andfinish sixth nationally in red zone defense, as it allowed just 38scores in 58 opponent trips inside the Eagle 20-yard line.
2009: Redshirted.
HS: Graduated from Luther Burbank HS in 2009.As a senior, he was one of just 26 players named to theSacramento Bee All-Metro (all-area) team. He was alsoselected to the All-Metro Conference team as a wide receiver. Hefinished the year with 55 tackles, 13 sacks and an interception.Burbank High School finished 6-6 his senior season and played for asection title for the first time in schoolhistory.
