2014: Listed as a starter at wide receiver onthe preseason depth chart and could return punts. In three springscrimmages he caught eight passes for 92 yards and twotouchdowns.

2013: Was named to the Big Sky ConferenceAll-Academic team. Played in 11 games as a backup wide receiver,catching five passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. He had threegrabs for 66 yards and a 47-yard touchdown catch versus OregonState (8/31/13) in EWU’s stunning 49-46 victory over the25th-ranked Beavers. His score gave EWU a 43-39 lead with 10:30 toplay.

Washington State: Left the WSU program a fewweeks after the 2012 season started. He did not play, nor did heplay in 2011 after suffering a knee injury in the spring whichrequired surgery. He redshirted in 2010, earning Scout TeamOffensive Player of the Week accolades against California.

HS: Graduated from Lynden HS in 2010. He helpedlead Lynden to a trio of WIAA State 2A Championships, and acollective record of 46-7 overall and 28-3 in the NorthwestConference. As a senior, he was a first team 2A All-State selectionat wide receiver and honorable mention as a defensive back by theAssociated Press (2A). He also earned All-State honors as adefensive back by the Seattle Times (all classifications),Tacoma News-Tribune (all classifications) andEvergreenStatePreps.com (3A-and-under). He was named by theSeattle Times as a “Red Chip” selection as oneof the top 22 prospects in the state of Washington. In addition, hewas a three-star prospect according to Scout.com and was rated theNo. 20 prospect in the state of Washington. He earned first teamAll-Northwest Conference honors at both wide receiver and defensiveback, and also garnered All-Whatcom County honors. He caught 57passes for 884 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2011 as the Lions wontheir second-straight WIAA 2A State title and their third in fouryears. As a junior, he earned honorable mention All-State accoladesand was a first team All-NWC and All-Whatcom County selection. Heled the Northwest Conference with 92 receptions for 998 yards, andrushed for 253 yards on 37 carries. He scored 17 touchdowns,including 13 TD receptions. Lynden won the 2A State title for thesecond time in three seasons. As a sophomore, he earned All-WhatcomCounty honors as a defensive back, as the Lions finished 10-3 andadvanced to the semifinals of the State 2A Playoffs. He was astarter at wide receiver and defensive back as a freshman whenLynden finished 13-1 and won the State 2A title. In all, helettered four times each in football, basketball and track andfield, and was a member of five state championship teams (three infootball, one each in basketball and track and field). Afterwinning the state title in basketball his freshman season, hestarted every game on the hardwood as a sophomore and led the Lionsto a fourth-place finish at state. In his junior season he earnedhonorable mention All-NWC honors in basketball and the track andfield team won the state championship. Individually, he finishedsecond at state in the 100 meters (11.07) and 200 meters (22.05),and Lynden’s 4x400 relay team won the state title. In hissenior season, he was the runner-up in the 100 (11.49) and 400(49.63), and placed fourth in the 200 (22.94). His career-besttimes were 10.99 in the 100, 22.04 in the 200 and 49.49 in the 400.His Eastern teammates Matt Meyer (’13) and Jalani Phelps(’14) also attended Lynden.

Personal: Interdisciplinary studies major witha 3.94 grade point average at Eastern. Born in Renton, Wash. Fullname is Blair Michael Bomber. His parents are Ed and Bonnie Bomber.His mother was an All-American gymnast at Seattle PacificUniversity. He has one older brother, Brady, who played basketballat St. Martin’s University.
