2013: Listed as a starter at weak-side outsidelinebacker on the preseason depth chart.
2012: He missed the first two EWU games with atorn pectoral muscle, but made his season debut in limited actionversus Weber State (9/22/12). He finished with three tackles,however, the injury required surgery and he missed every game afterthat.
2011: Named to the Big Sky ConferenceAll-Academic team for the second time. He started four games afterZach Johnson was lost for the season with a knee injury, includinghis starting debut versus Weber State (10/1/11). He finished witheight tackles in that game, and had nine more in EWU’s nextgame versus Northern Arizona (10/8/11). He had 23 of his 30 tacklesin his four starting assignments. An ankle injury forced him tomiss the Portland State (10/29/11) game, a pivotal contest whichturned out to be the lone setback in the last seven games for theEagles. He also had six tackles against Northern Colorado(10/15/11) to earn EWU’s special teams player of the weekhonor. Before he was thrust into full-time action, he was selectedas the team’s defensive scout team player of the weekonce.
2010: Named to the Big Sky ConferenceAll-Academic team after playing in all 15 Eagle games. Seeing mostof his action on special teams, he had a season-high two tacklesversus Sacramento State (10/23/10) to earn EWU special teams playerof the week honors. Agen had an interception he returned sevenyards versus Southeast Missouri State (12/4/10) in the FCS Playoffsat EWU’s Roos Field. He also had a forced fumble againstIdaho State (11/20/10) and recovered a fumble on a fumbled puntreturn by Montana (9/18/10) that led to an EWU score in a 36-27victory in the first game on EWU’s red Sprinturf surface atRoos Field. He helped the Eagle defense rank first nationally ininterceptions (total of 26) and turnovers gained (47), and finishsixth nationally in red zone defense, as it allowed just 38 scoresin 58 opponent trips inside the Eagle 20-yard line. He led theEagles with 23 tackles in four spring scrimmages, including a pairof sacks.
2009: Redshirted as a walk-on to the Eagleprogram.
HS: Graduated from Central Valley HS in 2009.He earned second team All-Greater Spokane League honors as adefensive back. He helped the Bears to a 9-2 record his senior yearand a berth in the State 4A Playoffs. His Eagle teammates JakeMiller (’10), Branson Schmidt (’11) and Gaven Deyarmin(’12) also attended Central Valley. They were coached atCentral Valley by Rick Giampietri, a 1970 graduate of Eastern andletterman for the football team in 1968 and1969.
