2013: Listed as a starter at kicker on thepreseason depth chart.

2012: Named to the Big Sky ConferenceAll-Academic team. After an injury to holder Jeff Minnerly againstMontana (9/29/12), the Eagles decided to let Miller take over theplacekicking chores for the rest of the game because backup holderVernon Adams was used to holding for the left-footed Miller. Hemade two extra points and a 19-yard field goal in the 32-26 win.Miller solely handled kickoffs the remainder of the year, and had42 touchbacks out of 86 kickoffs, and averaged 62.6 yards per boot.Starting in 2012, for player safety purposes, kickoffs were movedfrom the 30-yard line to the 35, and the kicking team only receivesa five-yard run-up on kickoffs. Also, a touchback after a kickoffnow results in the ball spotted at the 25-yard line instead of the20.

2011: Redshirted.

2010: Miller finished 2-of-3 kicking fieldgoals for the Eagles in the 2010 season and also handled kickoffsfor EWU. He booted a 48-yard field goal in the third quarter ofEWU’s 34-7 win over Idaho State (11/20/10) to equal the23rd-longest in school history. He also made a 44-yarder atPortland State (10/30/10) and had a 44-yarder blocked against NorthDakota State (12/11/10). He also averaged 58.7 yards on sixkickoffs against ISU and its prolific kickoff returner Tavoy Moore,who had five returns for 93 yards with a long of 38. ISU startedpossessions inside its own 20 four times, with an average fieldposition of its own 24-yard line. Miller finished the 2010 seasonaveraging 64.2 yards on 81 kickoffs with 15 touchbacks.

2009: Named to the Big Sky ConferenceAll-Academic team. Played in EWU’s last eight games as hehandled kickoffs and averaged 63.0 yards per kick. Of his 47kickoffs, 14 were touchbacks. He was Eastern’s special teamsplayer of the week versus Northern Arizona (11/21/09) when heaveraged 68.1 per kickoff, with seven of his eight kicks ending astouchbacks.

HS: Graduated from Centennial HS in 2009.Earned second team Class 6A All-State honors as a kicker asselected by high school coaches in the state of Oregon. He alsoearned first team All-Mt. Hood League honors as both a senior andjunior. His high school team was 3-8 his senior season after going8-3 in 2007. As a senior he made 7-of-12 field goals with a long of45, and 27-of-33 point after touchdown attempts. He also averaged38.3 yards per punt and 33 of his 54 kickoffs were touchbacks. As ajunior, he made 8-of-14 field goals with a school-record 50-yarder,and made 34-of-53 extra points. Also, 35 of his 72 kickoffs weretouchbacks. As a sophomore, he had seven touchbacks and made 2-of-3field goals and 25-of-27 extra points. Miller stood out at theKohl’s Kicking and Punting Camp in Bothell, Wash., in July2008. He won the placekicking competition with a 65-yard fieldgoal, was No. 1 in kickoffs (63.67 yards) and received a 4.5-starrating on a 5-star scale. Also a soccer player at Centennial, heplayed soccer in the fall while also kicking for the football team.As a senior in 2008, his team advanced to the quarterfinals of theState 6A Playoffs in Oregon as he earned second team all-leaguehonors. His brother, Mike, was a goalkeeper on Oregon State’ssoccer team until an injury ended his career and kept him out ofthe 2009 season.
