2013: Lettered as a backup nose tackle andfinished with three tackles.
2012: Played sparingly as a non-lettering squadmember. Was selected as the team’s defensive scout teamplayer of the week once. Boothroyd and teammate Dylan Zylstra wererecognized by EWU and the Big Sky Conference for their role inrescuing a kayaker, who had fallen into Long Lake, northwest ofSpokane, Wash., on May 31, 2012. The two were fishing when they sawthe man struggling, and yelling for help. They were able to borrowa row boat and Zylstra pulled the man from the frigid waters.
2011: Was a non-lettering squad member.
2010: Redshirted. Was selected as theteam’s defensive scout team player of the week once.
HS: Graduated from Mt. Spokane HS in 2010. As asenior he earned first team 3A All-State honors as an offensivelineman from Associated Press. Selected to play in the 4A/3AEast-West All-State Game. Named by the Seattle Times as a“White Chip” selection as one of the top 100 prospectsin the state of Washington. He earned first team All-GreaterSpokane League honors as an offensive lineman and second teamaccolades as a defensive lineman. He helped lead Mt. Spokane to a10-2 record and a quarterfinal appearance in the State 3A Playoffs.His Eastern teammate Stu Stiles (’14) also attended Mt.Spokane.
