2014: Listed as the starter at defensive end onthe preseason depth chart. He had a total of six tackles with twosacks in three spring scrimmages.

2013: Saw action in all 15 Eagle games,including a starting assignment against North Dakota (10/12/13).Johnson had three tackles in that game and a season-high seven onegame earlier against Weber State (10/5/13) to earn team defensiveplayer of the week honors. For the season, he finished with 34tackles including 1 1/2 sacks and three total tackles for loss. Hehad 10 tackles in three spring scrimmages, including four stops anda half-sack in the Red-White Spring Game. At the conclusion ofspring, he was selected as Eastern’s co-most improveddefensive player.

2012: He played in four games and lettered as adefensive lineman. He finished with three tackles after initiallybeing projected as an offensive guard at EWU. He had two tacklesagainst North Dakota (10/6/12) and one versus Cal Poly (11/3/12).Earlier in the year he was selected as the team’s defensivescout team player of the week for his work in practice before theopener versus Idaho (8/30/12).

Washington State: Transferred from WashingtonState University and attended EWU for the first time in fall 2012.Redshirted at WSU in 2010, and did not appear in any games as aredshirt freshman in 2011. He earned WSU Scout Team OffensivePlayer of the Week honors twice.

HS: Graduated from Stanwood HS in 2010. As asenior he earned first team All-Area honors from the EverettHerald and was first team All-Western Conference as alinebacker. He was first team All-Wesco as a linebacker in hisjunior season, and was a first team selection in basketball aswell.

Personal: Computer information systems major.Born in Everett, Wash. His parents are Ron and Deanna Johnson. Hissister, Lindsay, played softball at UNLV.
