Career: King tallied 122 tackles and five interceptions in his 43-game career (11 as a starter).
2022: King played in all 11 games for the Eagles, making seven starts. He recorded 53 tackles, including two for loss. He also had two interceptions, two quarterback hurries, a forced fumble and a pass broken up. In the first game of the season against Tennessee State (9/3/22), King had two tackles and forced a fumble. He had seven tackles against Oregon (9/10/22). His first interception of the season came against Cal Poly in the end zone (10/22/22). King set a career-high with 10 tackles against Portland State (10/29/22). His next interception came against Idaho (11/5/22). He had seven tackles in the final game of the season against Northern Colorado (11/19/22).
2021: He appeared in 11 games for the Eagles, making 29 tackles and grabbing two interceptions. He had five tackles against Western Illinois (9/18/21), and he totaled four against both Southern Utah (9/25/21) and Northern Colorado (10/9/21). In the first round of the FCS Playoffs against Northern Iowa (11/27/21), King recorded another five-tackle game and also had two interceptions. The first interception came in the third quarter, with King returning it 20 yards and setting up the Eagle offense at the UNI 27. Eastern would go on to score a touchdown and extend their lead to nine points. The next would come in the fourth quarter with Northern Iowa on EWU’s two yard line. The Eagles would go on to win the game by a score of 19-9.
2020-21: He played in all seven games, including four as a starter. He made his starting debut as an Eagle versus Idaho (2/27/21) and had seven tackles and a quarterback hurry. King had 33 tackles on the season, plus his first career interception against Idaho (4/10/21) that led to EWU’s game-winning score. He also had a career-high nine tackles in the rematch versus the Vandals.
2019: Played in 11 of EWU’s 12 games, mostly on special teams. King had six tackles and a fumble recovery on the season, and he had a season-high two tackles versus both Cal Poly (11/16/19) and Portland State (11/23/19) to end the year. He recovered a fumble against Northern Colorado (10/10/19) on a kickoff return, which EWU turned into a score and a 20-0 lead in the second quarter. He was offensive scout team player of the week once. In EWU’s three scrimmages in the spring, including the Red-White Game, King finished with nine tackles and an interception he returned for a touchdown.
2018: Was a non-lettering squad member and played in three games. He had a tackle in EWU’s season opener versus Central Washington (9/1/18).
2017: Redshirted.
HS: Graduated from Marysville Pilchuck HS in 2017. Lettered three times in both football and track and field.
