Biography

2010: Listed as a backup at wide receiver onEWU’s preseason depth chart.

2009: Ankle and hamstring injuries slowed himat midseason, but he returned to catch seven of his 11 passes inEWU’s final two games of the season. After starting versusSacramento State (9/26/09), he missed the Idaho State (10/3/09) andWeber State (10/17/09) games before returning to catch a 14-yardtouchdown versus Montana (10/17/09). He had a career-high fourcatches for 67 yards in EWU’s playoff-clinching 49-45 winover Northern Arizona (11/21/09). Among his five kickoff returns,four came in the FCS Playoffs against Stephen F. Austin (11/28/09),with a long of 23.

2008: Started against Montana State (10/18/08)and played in seven total games to earn a letter. Caught fourpasses for 43 yards with a long of 24, and also returned a kickoffnine yards. Two of his catches came in EWU’s final game ofthe season versus Weber State (11/22/08).

2007: Moved to wide receiver from cornerback inthe fall and caught one pass for 10 yards against Montana(10/6/07). He also had an interception he returned 21 yards inEastern’s opener against Montana-Western (8/31/07).

2006: Redshirted.

HS: Graduated from Pullman HS in 2006. Earnedhonorable mention 2A All-State honors as a wide receiver fromAssociated Press as selected by sportswriters and broadcasters. Inaddition, WashingtonPreps.com selected him to its 2A All-Statesecond team as a running back and honorable mention as a returnspecialist and defensive back. Named by the Seattle Timesas a “White Chip” selection as one of the top 100recruits in the state of Washington. He and EWU teammate J.C.Sherritt led Pullman to a perfect 14-0 record and the State 2Achampionship. In a 28-24 title game victory over Archbishop Murphy,he scored a go-ahead touchdown on a kickoff return. He finished hissenior season with 27 catches for 693 yards (25.7 per catch) with11 touchdowns. He returned three kickoffs for scores. Pullmanfinished second in his sophomore season. Also played basketball,helping lead Pullman to a seventh-place finish in the State 2ATournament as a junior. He had a stellar track and field career,scoring 72 individual points (not including relays) in fourappearances at the State 2A Championships, which all took place atEWU’s Woodward Field. As a senior, he was the leadingindividual scorer with 26 points to lead Pullman to the team title.He won the long jump with a meet record leap of 22-10 1/2, and wassecond in the 100 (11.27) and 200 (22.59). As a junior, he was alsothe classification’s leading scorer with 27 1/2 points thatincluded a leg on the winning 4x400 relay team. He won the longjump with a leap of 21-8 and placed second in the 100 (11.63) and200 (23.04). As a sophomore, he was second in the long jump (22-7)and third in the triple jump (43-4 1/2). He was third in the triplejump (42-4 3/4) as a freshman. He had personal bests of 22-10 1/2in the long jump, 44-10 1/4 in the triple jump, 10.65 in the 100and 22.44 in the 200. Besides Pullman’s team title his seniorseason, the Greyhounds were also second twice (2005 and 2004) andwon the title in 2003. His EWU teammate J.C. Sherritt (’06)also attended Pullman HS.
