Chad Germer was hired as the offensive line coach by head coach Aaron Best in January of 2025.
Germer has 29 years of coaching experience in the collegiate ranks and returns to the Big Sky after spending last season as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Montana State University-Northern.
Before coaching at Northern, Germer coached the offensive line at Montana, Wyoming, and UNLV. Germer had three stints with the Grizzlies, starting in 1998 to 2002, 2009, and most recently, 2015 to 2021. He was at UNLV from 2010 to 2014 and Wyoming from 2003 to 2008.
During his most recent tenure in Missoula, Germer coached five lineman to All-Big Sky honors. Germer had two All-Mountain West selections while on the Rebels' staff. In his first stint with Montana, Gerner coached four All-American selections.
Germer played for the Griz and graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration.
