2014: Listed as the backup at“Buck” defensive end on the preseason depth chart. Hehad a total of seven tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumblerecovery in three spring scrimmages.
2013: Did not play because of a severe case ofRhabdomyolysis(rhab·do·my·ol·y·sis), acondition in which damaged skeletal muscle breaks down rapidly andreleases potentially damaging products into the bloodstream. InGoldwire’s case, it affected his kidneys. He did return latein the year and was the team’s scout team defensive player ofthe week before the South Dakota State (12/7/13) victory. Movedfrom linebacker to the defensive line in the spring. He had seventackles and two passes broken up in three spring scrimmages. At theconclusion of spring, he was selected as Eastern’s co-mostimproved defensive player.
2012: Played in eight games as a reservelinebacker and special teams player. He had one tackle each againstNorth Dakota (10/6/12), Cal Poly (11/3/12) and Portland State(11/17/12).
2011: Played sparingly, but lettered andfinished his freshman season with three tackles. In four springscrimmages, he had 13 tackles to rank third on the team.
2010: Redshirted. Was selected as theteam’s defensive scout team player of the week twice.
HS: Graduated from Lakes HS in 2010. Named bythe Seattle Times as a “White Chip” selectionas one of the top 100 prospects in the state of Washington. Heearned honorable mention All-South Puget Sound League 3A Divisionaccolades. He helped lead Lakes to the State 3A Playoffs after aperfect regular season. His team defeated North Thurston 56-0 andMt. Spokane 24-0 before falling to Liberty 17-13 in the semifinalsas Lakes finished the season 12-1.
