Biography

2019: Was a non-lettering squad member and did not play in any games.
 
2018: Redshirted. Purvis was selected as the “EWU Teams” special teams player of the year. He was offensive scout team player of the week once, and was also honored once on special teams.
 
HS: Graduated from Napavine HS in 2018. He was an All-State selection as a senior when he played in the Earl Barden East-West Classic all-star game. He caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from fellow EWU player Simon Burkett, but their West squad lost the game 20-12. Purvis finished the game with four catches for 34 yards. He was also named to the 2017 Centralia Daily Chronicle All-Area team as a wide receiver. He finished with 815 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior in earning first team All-2B Southwest League Mountain Division honors as both a wide receiver and defensive back. Purvis helped Napavine finish 11-2 in 2017 and win the league title in the Mountain Division with a perfect 6-0 record. The Tigers were denied a second-straight state title when they fell to eventual champion Kalama 20-13 in the semifinals of the 2B State Playoffs. He also earned All-Area honors as a junior when he caught 48 passes for 665 yards and 16 scores. Napavine closed the year a perfect 15-0 and 6-0 in the league en route to winning the State 2B title. The Tigers beat Liberty 34-16 for the title. Purvis was coached in high school by Josh Fay. He also competed in basketball, baseball and track and field for Napavine.
