2024 (Redshirt Junior)
  • Fall Big Sky All-Academic Team.
  • Played in nine games while starting one this season.
  • Caught his first collegiate touchdown at Idaho (10/26/24).
2023 (Redshirt Sophomore)
  • Played in 8 games.
  • Recorded a catch vs. Fresno State (9/9/23).
Best on Murphy: "JP is a well-tooled tight end that will add to our depth at the position. On the field, he has shown the versatility to play the Y and F positions.  We can tell that he will also be a factor on special teams. He is serious about reaching his full potential and is a great addition to our tight end room."
