Shea arrives at EWU as a 3-star, 81.5 composite grade linebacker out of nearby Coeur d'Alene. As sure a tackler as you'll see, Shea posted 358 total stops over three years at CDA High School, including 173 (110 solo) in 12 games as a senior, adding 26 TFL (46 career). Earned several awards, including First Team All-State and Idaho Defensive Player of the Year. He recorded 10+ tackles in all but one game in 2023, with five at 18+ including the 5A state final, when he posted 18 tackles (16 solo) and 3 TFL as CDA finished runner-up. He is the 10th-ranked overall player out of Idaho by 247sports.com. Shea also received an offer from Nevada.
