Career: Hawkins appeared in 20 games for the Eagles, making four of his eight field goal attempts and recording 93 kickoff attempts for a 54.1-yard average. He made 15-of-16 (93.8%) extra point attempts.
2022: Hawkins played in eight games, making two of his six field goal attempts, including longs of 35 against both Cal Poly (10/22/22) and Idaho (11/15/22). He went 9-of-10 (90.0%) on extra point attempts. Hawkins also recorded 32 kickoffs for a 56.2-yard average and 14 touchbacks.
2021: Hawkins played in 10 games, making and attempting two field goals against Northern Iowa in the FCS Playoffs (11/27/21). His longest was 30 yards, and the Eagles won the game by a score of 19-9. He went 6-for-6 on extra point tries in two games. He also recorded 50 kickoffs, totaling 2,717 yards (54.3 average) and 13 touchbacks.
2020-21: He played in EWU’s last two games of the season, handling kickoff duties. In those games he had 11 kickoffs for a 46.8 average.
HS: Graduated from Carlsbad HS in 2020. He was selected as the Kicker of the Year on the All-San Diego Section team, and earned All-Avocado League honors as a senior. He finished with 61 points as a senior, making 43-of-44 extra points and 6-of-11 field goals with a long of 40. He also punted 30 times for a 37.4 average with a long of 47, and 12 of his punts ending inside the opponent 20-yard line. Was a two-year starter at Carlsbad, and his kickoffs consistently resulted in touchbacks. Out of 56 kickoffs as a senior, 43 were touchbacks (77 percent) as he averaged 66.4 yards per kick. Against Oceanside, he hit two clutch field goals in 22-20 victory. The Lancers would go on to finish 10-2 and win the league title with a perfect 6-0 record. Carlsbad beat Cathedral Catholic in the semifinals of the CIF San Diego Section Open Division Playoffs, but fell to Helix 28-21 in the championship game. Coached in high school by Mac Neal.
