The Eastern Washington University track and field teams completed their third indoor meet of the season at the Washington State Open today (Jan. 20).

The men took three titles in the meet. Sophomore
Keshun McGee highlighted the competition with his 50-8 1/4 mark in the triple jump, making him the leader in the Big Sky Conference. Kasin Pendergrass Anderson from the University of Idaho was the previous leader with a mark of 49-4 1/2.

"Overall, the team effort was stellar today," men's head coach
Stan Kerr said. "We know the next couple of meets will be even a larger tests for us, but given today's performances we have every reason to believe that this will be a memorable indoor season."

Marcia Mecklenburg said. "Once again we had some outstanding performances and I was glad to see that, given the hard training we have been putting in the last several weeks."

Top Performers
On the women's side in the running events, freshman
Alexis Rolan finished second with a time of 7.65 in the 60 meters. The time puts her in fourth on the all-time list. The record is held by
Rebecca Tarbert with 7.47. Sophomore
Sophie Bowles finished the 300-meter run in 41.63, which puts her in second on the all-time list. The record is held by Lisa Sorrell from 1979 with a 39.6 time.

In throwing events, junior
Madison Doepker took second  in the weight throw with a mark of 54-8 3/4 and had three other Eagles following right behind her. Sophomore
Samantha Boudreau took third in the shot put with a throw of 40-6.

On the men's side, sophomore
Keshun McGee earned first in the triple jump with a mark of 50-8 1/4. The mark has him in third in the all-time list and the record is held by Kurt Kraemer from 2001 with 53-5 1/2. McGee also took second in long jump with a mark of 23-7 1/4.

Senior
Larry Still took home the pole vault title for the second week in a row with a clearance of 16-0 3/4. Senior
Scott Miller earned another title for the Eagles with a 51-7 3/4 throw in the shot put.
Freshman
Joe Gauthier took second in the 60-meter dash with a 6.89 finish while sophomore
Dawson Lack took third in the 200-meter with a time of 23.17. Junior
Parker Bowden finished in second in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.14. That time puts him in third of all-time with the record being held by Steve Warner from 2012 with 8.07.
