CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Four Eastern Washington University women's golf student-athletes were tabbed Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars as announced this week. The Eagles were represented by
Kirsten Ishikawa,
Kimberlie Miyamoto,
Alexa Clark and
Madalyn Ardueser.
A total of 1,011 women's golfers were recognized with the honor. In order to be selected, you must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. Eastern was one of only four Big Sky Conference schools to have four or more representatives, matching Sacramento State and trailing only Montana State and Northern Arizona who had five.

Brenda Howe. "It's a testament to their dedication as not only an athlete but to their academic success."
In addition to helping the team achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.71 during spring quarter, they led the Eagles to a fifth-place finish at the 2018 Big Sky Championships.
Miyamoto, a junior from Kahului, Hawaii, is majoring in English education with a cumulative GPA of 3.85 and was named to the All-American Scholar Team for the third-straight year. This season, she ranked fourth on the team with an average of 78.4 strokes, saving her best performance of 227 strokes for the BSC Championships.
Ishikawa also earns the distinction for the third-straight season as a senior. She wrapped up her Eagle career with a degree in exercise science and a cumulative GPA of 3.88. On the course, she ranked third on the team with an average of 78.4 strokes.
Sophomore Ardueser made her second-straight All-American Scholar Team after boasting a cumulative GPA of 3.77 while majoring in journalism. She placed 12th at the BSC Championships and paced the Eagles with a team-leading average of 75.4 strokes this season.
Freshman Clark makes her first team after an outstanding freshman campaign. In addition to notching a top-ten finish at the Big Sky Championships, Clark has a GPA of 3.81 while majoring in exercise science. She ranked second on the team this season with an average of 75.8 strokes.
