SEATTLE, Wash. -- The Eastern Washington University women's tennis team faced off against the University of Portland today (Jan. 26) to a victory of 4-3 on the road in a neutral site match in Seattle. The result marks the first win of the season, improving the Eagles to 1-1 overall.
"I'm really happy for the team today, they deserve this win," said head coach
Dustin Hinson. "They were very hungry for success leading into the match today. They poured themselves into each point and did a great job of resetting between points. Their energy was very positive and they fought their hearts out for everything they could get. They stepped up and made things happen today and I was very proud to see them dig it out. We look forward to continuing to play hard as we move on to play Washington tomorrow."
