Women's Tennis Heads Out for Two Match Road Trip This Weekend

EWU returns to play after road matches against Idaho State and Weber State last weekend

CHENEY, Wash.-- The Eastern Washington University women's tennis team heads out for another two match road trip this Saturday (March 9) and Sunday (March 10) when they head to Boise, Idaho to play Boise State and the College of Idaho. The Eagles return to competition after beating Big Sky Conference opponent, Idaho State (5-2) and recording a loss against Weber State (4-3) this past weekend.

"We are approaching this weekend as an opportunity to get better individually and to get better as a team," said head coach Dustin Hinson. "That's our perspective each time we step into competition. I like what we have accomplished so far and we have a lot of belief in what we can do throughout the remainder of the season."

Following last weekend's win and loss on the road, Eastern now has an overall record of 5-5 and 3-1 in Big Sky play.

The Eagles will first take on Boise State, who has an overall record of 4-4 with victories over; Idaho State (6-1), Lewis-Clark State (7-0), South Dakota (7-0) and Colorado (4-3). The Broncos are led by head coach Beck Roghaar, who is in his ninth season as head coach.

Before returning home, EWU will compete against the College of Idaho on Sunday. The College of Idaho has an overall record of 0-4 on their 2019 season. The Yotes are led by head coach Cisco Limbago, who is in his 34th season as head coach.

After this weekend's matches the Eagles will return home where they will host New Mexico on Friday, March 15 in Cheney, Wash.
