CHENEY, Wash.-- The Eastern Washington University women's tennis team competed against Sacramento State today (April 14) to a victory of 5-2. After today's win, the Eagles are now 11-8 and 7-1 in Big Sky Conference play.
"This was a special win for the team because we were able to do it on Senior Day," said head coach
Dustin Hinson. "It was great to have the extra motivation to play hard for our seniors. We keep talking as a team about how much we need each other. We can't do this alone and that has helped unite what we are doing out there as a team. It's really important that every member of the team gives everything they have out there on the court and today they were able to accomplish that. Win or lose, that's all I can ask as a coach and I'm proud of everyone for making that happen. We are motivated to finish strong and to continue improving over our final two regular season matches."

The Eagles will return to play next Friday (April 19) and Saturday (April 21) when they travel to Southern Utah and Northern Arizona for their two final regular season matches of the 2019 season.
