"We're going to WAR," said head coach
Stan Kerr. "We know the venue at SFCC is conducive to terrific performances. Being a local meet allows for great team support from families and friends. The WAR meet is very competitive and we're looking to continue to run faster, jump higher and throw further."
"The WAR meet is always a fun meet for our athletes to compete in," said head coach
Marcia Mecklenburg. "It is one of the few regular season meets that gives out prizes. This meet is very important for the athletes to show the coaches what they can do as far as performance. The team has some highly-competitive meets coming up in California and everyone on the team wants to make that travel squad. No matter what the weather conditions, EWU athletes will be going for some big marks."
Â
Next week, the Eagles host the 48th Annual Pelluer Invitational at Roos Field on April 11-13. The Decathlon is set to begin at 10 a.m. with the heptathlon to follow at 10:30 on Thursday, both events will continue on Friday at 10 a.m., with some field events to begin at 3 p.m. On Saturday the field events will be starting at 10 a.m. and running events at 1 p.m.
