CHENEY, Wash.-- The Eastern Washington University women's tennis team competed against Montana today (April 7) to a victory of 5-2. After today's win, the Eagles now have an overall record of 9-8 and 5-1 in Big Sky conference play.
"Today was a really tough battle and I'm pleased with the way the team rallied to get the win," said head coach
Dustin Hinson. "Doubles was a very bright spot once again for us. It's a big deal to be able to start the match with a 1-0 lead and with some momentum. We expected singles to be tough and we knew we had to respond in a good way when things got tough. Our resilience was a real advantage for us today and we did a nice job of supporting each other throughout the match. We have a mid-week match against Idaho at home this Wednesday and we are looking forward to continuing strong in conference play."
