Maya McClellan Joins EWU Volleyball

McClellan is a redshirt sophomore transfer from Nevada who is already on campus prior to the 2020 spring season

CHENEY, Wash. – Eastern Washington University women's volleyball head coach Leslie Flores-Cloud has announced another addition to the 2020 signing class in redshirt sophomore transfer, Maya McClellan.

McClellan is a 5-10 outside hitter from Belmont, Calif., and previously spent two seasons at Nevada.

"Maya is a dynamic pin hitter. She was wonderful to get to know during the recruiting process and is a great student and communicator," said Flores-Cloud. "I am looking forward to having her compete for the Eagles."

After redshirting her true freshman season, McClellan appeared in three matches for the Wolfpack in 2019. During her prep career at Carlmont High School, she lettered all four years and was an All-League First Team selection in 2016.

She also attended the USA Volleyball High Performance A1 Holiday Camp in 2015 and made the 2016 Junior Nationals U16 All-Tournament Team.

McClellan is already on campus for classes and has joined the Eagles prior to the spring season. She joins previously announced true freshmen Ellie Garrett, Noa Torio and Sage Brustad who will head to Eastern Washington in the fall.
