CHENEY, Wash. – Eastern Washington University head women's tennis coach,
Dustin Hinson, has announced the addition of new signee,
Kenzington Mann, today (Nov. 11) on the first day of the National Signing period.
Mann hails from Tustin, Calif., where she currently attends Beckman High School.
"Kenzington comes to Eastern from one of the best tennis regions in the country where she's had some great success. She worked with really good coaches during her junior career in Southern California and has developed into a really strong player on the court," said Hinson. "Kenzington has been great to work with during the recruiting process and she has shown that she's a really good communicator, which is something I always look for in a recruit. She will bring a mindset of hard work to EWU and has already shown the ability to make others around her better. She has an excellent academic track record and I know she will do as well in the classroom as she does on the tennis court."
Mann played varsity tennis throughout high school where she helped the Patriots win a California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) championship. She was also awarded the Beckman Varsity Girl's Tennis Newcomer of the Year award and a Beckman's Athletic Award of Excellence.
She also stands out academically, being named to the Principal's Exemplary Honor Roll on three different occasions.
Mann is the daughter of Corinne and Michael Mann. She intends on majoring in chemistry at Eastern Washington, with aspirations to continue her academic career in engineering or pre-med after completing her undergraduate degree.
