SPOKANE, Wash. – In their second match in as many days, the Eastern Washington University women's tennis team traveled to nearby Spokane to take on Gonzaga this afternoon (Feb. 1). The Eagles fell short, dropping the decision 4-0 to move to an even 2-2 on the season.
"We played with tremendous heart today against a tough Gonzaga team. Doubles was a battle and I'm really excited for the win on court three for
Stephanie Broussard and
Marta Heinen. They played aggressive and deserve that win," said head coach
Dustin Hinson. "Singles was really close on every court and I thought we showed a lot of grit throughout each match. I'm so proud of our team and what we represent on and off the court and I'm pleased with the progress we've made as a team already this early in the season. We look forward to continuing to build for our upcoming matches."
