FARMINGTON, Utah – The Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational was canceled after one round, but it was Eastern Washington University golfer
Madalyn Ardueser who stood at the top. The senior shot two-under par, shooting a 70 to lead the entire field of 72 golfers and earned her third Big Sky Golfer of the Week nod of the season and her career in the process.
"Madalyn played great last week on a hard course," said head coach
Brenda Howe. "With the uncertainty right now, I'm so happy that she was able to post another win in an already outstanding season."
The victory is also the third of the season for Ardueser, as she also took home first-place in consecutive tournaments at the Battle at Old Works (Sept. 17) and the Rose City Collegiate (Oct. 1).
The Eugene, Ore., native currently holds Eastern Washington's all-time single season scoring average with 72.46 strokes this year. In addition to her three tournament titles, she had shot nine rounds under par.
She is also the all-time career scoring average leader with 74.77 during her four seasons as an Eagle.
Ardueser earned two All-Big Sky Honorable Mention nods during her career, with two top-ten finishes at the Big Sky Conference Championships.
Eastern Washington finished third overall at the Lady Thunderbird Invitational after shooting a 301. They finished second out of five competing Big Sky schools.
