EWU sits undefeated in the Big Sky Conference with a 3-0 record

CHENEY, Wash. – Following a dominant performance last weekend, the Eastern Washington University women's tennis squad looks to host Big Sky Conference opponents Southern Utah and Weber State this Friday and Saturday (Mar. 6-7) at the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse. Friday's match begins at 2 p.m. Pacific time while Saturday's match begins at 10 a.m. PT.

The Eagles stand on top of the Big Sky with an unbeaten 3-0 record while Northern Arizona trails close behind with a 2-0 conference record.

"We expect conference matches to get tougher and tougher as the season goes on. We are motivated to continue to improve and build on our strong start," said head coach Dustin Hinson. "There is a long way to go so we are working to stay motivated and focused for each upcoming match. I expect that we will give all we have this weekend as we continue to defend our home court."

According to the conference preseason poll voted on by the coaches, Weber State is tabbed to finish second while EWU was selected to finish in fourth-place. Southern Utah rounds out the bottom of the poll as they were chosen to finish in eighth-place.
