EUGENE, Ore. – The Eastern Washington University women's tennis squad faced Oregon today (Feb. 20) and fell to a score of 6-1 at the Student Tennis Center in Eugene, Ore. Junior
Yasmin Mansouri outperformed her opponent to give EWU the solo point but it was not enough as the Eagles move to an overall record of 0-4.
"Oregon played a great match today. They were very aggressive in both doubles and singles and that helped them get the edge early in the matches. I thought our mental toughness was good today. Also, we did a great job of fighting in each match from start to finish," said head coach
Dustin Hinson. "We will learn from each match and that will help us build for future matches.
Yasmin Mansouri played a great singles match today to get that win. I was impressed with her ability to grit out the first set and dominate in the second set. We are looking forward to competing and giving our best again tomorrow."
