PULLMAN, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University women's tennis team faced Pac-12 opponent No.39 Washington State in a doubleheader and fell 4-0 in both matches today (March 20) at the Simmelink Tennis Courts at Hollingbery Fieldhouse in Pullman, Wash. The Eagles move to an overall record of 3-8 as they have one more match before Big Sky Conference play opens up.
"We played a lot of good tennis out there today. I thought our doubles play was especially good in the first match. We had our chances for the point there and just came up short," said head coach
Dustin Hinson. "We did a nice job of trying different tactics and mixing it up in singles. Ultimately, Washington State was too tough top to bottom today. We are ready to compete again tomorrow as it will be a new day with fresh opportunities."
