"We're really looking forward to the opportunity to get outside and play real golf. We've been indoors on a simulator, but it doesn't compare to hitting off of actual grass," said head coach Brenda Howe. "Our first couple events of each spring are really tough. Obviously we see fields where half of them fight winter, and the other half have been outdoors all winter long. Our focus is to just really take advantage of having three days next week, and another 4 days the following to week to work on getting back into the swing of things."

The Eagles competed in four tournaments in the fall, including the Battle at Old Works. Jaelin Ishikawa led the squad to finish in third place overall with 233 strokes, while Morgan Baum shot one stroke behind Ishikawa at 234 and finished tied for fourth place.

Eastern also competed in a Griz Challenge hosted by Montana in which Jaelin Ishikawa finished with 148 strokes to tie for first place.

The GCU Invite consists of 19 different schools participating, including Big Sky opponents Northern Arizona, Montana State, Portland State, Southern Utah and Idaho. Other teams competing include hosts GCU, Boise State, Cal State Fullerton, CSU Bakersfield, Dixie State, Gonzaga, NDSU, Santa Clara, Seattle, SMU, UC Riverside, UTEP, and UTRGV.

The lineup for the tournament consists of junior Jaelin Ishikawa, redshirt sophomore Meghan Singh, sophomore Morgan Baum and freshmen Carisa Padilla and Kami Twining.
