FARMINGTON, Utah — With an impressive performance in conference matches this season, Kenzington Mann was selected to the All-Big Sky Singles second team. Mann posted a 6-2 record in Big Sky matches and was 8-6 overall in 2023, leading Eastern Washington in wins. The all-conference selection is Mann's first of her career.
During the spring schedule, Mann played primarily at the No. 6 position, gathering a 5-2(.714) record. Mann also played at the No. 5 spot and finished 3-2(.600). Among the conference leaders, Mann's winning percentage at the No. 6 singles spot ranked third in the Big Sky and fourth at the No. 5 spot.
The Tustin, Calif. native closed the season on a hot streak, winning her last six matches.
In Eastern's 4-3 victory over eventual Big Sky tournament champion Weber State, Mann delivered the clinching win at the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse. Playing at the No. 5 spot, Mann defeated Cindy Ping Ann in two sets (6-2, 7-6) to get the win for the Eagles.
Along with singles, Mann was 5-11 in doubles matches playing with Renata Gabuzyan and Leandra Nizetic.
Weber St.'s Anna Morett was named the Big Sky MVP, while Wildcat head coach, RuthAnn Allen won Coach of the Year. Northern Arizona's Patrycja Niewiadomska won Big Sky Freshman of the Year.
